Introduction

We Are One is the amalgamation of many who gathered without any religious or communal differences in the Galle Face Ground on the 9th of April, 2022 with the collective objective of establishing a just government in a peaceful Sri Lanka where all the communities could live in harmony.

The three month long struggle paved way to a number of phenomenal achievements in the Sri Lankan political arena that were thought to be impossible. If a less-than-hundred-day collective effort could achieve so much, what we could attain if determine to unite as a nation henceforward with developing this country as our singular set goal?. This is the perspective that gave birth to We Are One that is represented by progressive minded Lankans who belong to all the faiths practiced in this country such as Buddhism, Hindu religion and Islam and members of every community living here.

நாட்டில் சமாதானம் நல்லிணக்கம் மற்றும் சமத்துவம் மலர்ந்து நல்லாட்சி உருவாக வேண்டும் என்ற உன்னத நோக்கத்தில் கடந்த ஏப்ரல் மாதம் 09 ஆம் திகதி காலி முகத்திடலில் இன மத பேதமின்றி ஒன்று சேர்ந்த பலரின் ஒன்றுபட்ட அமைப்பே “நாம் இலங்கையர்” அமைப்பு.

சுமார் மூன்று மாதங்கள் எவ்வித இன மத வேறுபாடுமின்றி ஒற்றுமையாக ஒரே இலக்கை நோக்கி எம்மால் முன்னோக்கிச் சென்று வெற்றிபெற முடிந்தால்.. நாம் ஏன் தொடர்ந்தும் எமது சமூகங்கள் மற்றும் தாய் நாட்டின் முன்னேற்றத்திற்காக ஒன்று பட்டு செயலாற்ற முடியாது? என்ற எண்ணத்தின் வெளிப்பாடே பௌத்த, இந்து, கிறுத்தவ மற்றும் முஸ்லிம் என பல்லின மத மற்றும் சமூகத்தை பிரதிநிதித்துவப்படுத்திய அங்கத்து வர்கள் அடங்கிய ஒரு அமைப்பாக இது உருபெற்று இருக்கிறது.
